The idea
There is capital and entrepreneurial spirit for healthcare innovation. But not every venture that calls itself "impact" actually creates impact, and many promising solutions fail because of regulation or the lack of a viable financial model. Innovade wants capital to flow where it demonstrably benefits patients.
What Innovade contributes
- An open assessment framework: criteria for impact in health: Which problem in patient care is solved, which patient-relevant endpoint demonstrates the improvement, and what does the capital change? The framework is public and free to use.
- Support for public-interest ventures: pro bono or at reduced rates for non-profit organisations, early-stage impact start-ups and public funders, on impact assessment, the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and viable financial models.
- Access to practice: connections to living labs, care partners and research.
Clear criteria
We support ventures that address a real problem in patient care and want to demonstrate their impact. We do not award a seal to existing products or funds.
